Miliary tuberculosis presenting with multifocal oral lesions.

چکیده
Although the method of exposure was different, the absence of reaction to the gaseous Freons suggests that they were not the component responsible for the reactions to the aerosol propellant. The only other agents to which exposure may have occurred were the aluminium can and a range of extractives from rubber components of the metering valve. There is no direct evidence that the asthmatic reactions were of an allergic nature, and some form of non-specific bronchial irritation seems a possible explanation. Such reactions to the aerosol vehicle may be obscured when it is being used for bronchodilator drugs that are effective. Investigation of adverse reactions of the sort described are indicated in patients presenting with such a history and possibly also in patients who fail to respond or who respond poorly to aerosol bronchodilators.

متن کاملMultfocal micronodular pneumocyte hyperplasia in a Chinese man masquerading as miliary tuberculosis.
Multifocal Micronodular Pneumocyte Hyperplasia (MMPH) is a rare and histologically, distinctive pulmonary manifestation of tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) characterized by numerous and extensive proliferative lesions of type II pneumocytes similar to atypical adenomatous hyperplasia (AAH) or non-mucinous adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS). We reported MMPH in a 38-year-old Chinese man with TSC masqu...

Although miliary tuberculosis (TB) is well known, the incidence of miliary TB accompanying paravertebral abscess is extremely rare in adolescent children. We report a case of paravertebral TB abscess and miliary TB in a 17-year-old male initially presenting with fever, general weakness, back pain, sweating, cough, dyspnea and weight loss. The patient was diagnosed as paravertebral TB abscess an...
